Connect messaging apps: support and connection status
Choose an available platform on the Messaging page, check its status and follow the platform guide to connect.
Where to go
Open Mate Settings → choose a mate → Messaging. The status and settings belong only to this mate.
Choose a platform
| Platform | Setup |
|---|---|
| Telegram | Create a bot, paste its token and approve your account in the dashboard. Telegram guide. |
| Hermes mates use terminal setup and phone pairing; ask support for OpenClaw. WhatsApp guide. | |
| LINE | Unsupported, with no promised date. A visible card does not mean it works. Use the options above or dashboard chat. |
| Discord, Slack, Signal, Microsoft Teams and others | Expand Other messaging apps for status. Setup uses the native UI, subject to version and platform requirements. |
For native settings, open Mate Settings → choose the same mate → Hermes UI or OpenClaw UI. Changes affect her settings; read Advanced tools first and ask support if unsure.
Four connection states
| Status | Next step |
|---|---|
| Not set up | Check platform support, then follow its guide. |
| Saved, not applied yet | Saved but not connected. Wait a minute or two and follow the result. |
| Connected | Send a new message to check account access and the model’s reply. |
| Connection error | Expand Original message and see Message problems. |
Telegram has token buttons and pairing lists. The WhatsApp card mainly shows status; its setup uses a different flow.
Unavailable data
If data cannot be fetched or is stale, wait for a retry. Persistent issues: Dashboard data problems. Missing data does not mean no setup.
